Carol Hollister began making cycling apparel for her husband David in the mid-1980s, inspired by her days working as a designer for other technical apparel companies in Canada. A few years later, the two launched the brand Sugoi, which is derived from a Japanese term meaning “incredible.” Based in Canada, the company produces a wide variety of technical apparel and gear for multi-sport wear, especially running, cycling and swimming (triathlons).
