Pearl Izumi started over 50 years ago in Tokyo, Japan as a small manufacturer of cycle apparel. They have since grown into a worldwide company focusing on high performance multi-sport apparel and gear (swim, bike, run). The unique name is a combination of "pearl" (the gem) and an area of Japan known for its clear waters (Izumi) and means "fountain of pearls."

Pearl Izumi is most well known for its cycle apparel. But we have found that they also offer excellent technical apparel and gear for running and fitness. Given Pearl's focus on multi-sport athletes (men and women) this gear is built to perform. The Japanese heritage is also evident in the unique style brought to each piece. A nice change of pace from the big-box stuff.
